This chapter shows the pin signal assignments (pinouts) for the three-connector cable dongle (FIGURE E-1).

Figure shows the three-connector dongle and USB, RJ-45 and VGA video connectors.

 



Note - The older four-connector cable dongle (UCP-4) can also be used on the Sun Blade T6340 server module, with some restrictions. The Sun Blade T6340 does not support use of the UCP-4 dongle’s RJ-45 connector.

FIGURE E-4 and TABLE E-3 show the XVR-50 graphics accelerator HD15 connector and pinout signals.

The console video output port connects to the 15-pin connector on the cable dongle. The HD15 video connector supports DDC2 monitor support and Display Power Management Signaling (DPMS).

The cable dongle or server module connectors could be damaged by closing rack doors or other impacts. Remove the cable dongle during normal system operation.
