How to Install Oracle VM Manager
You can install Oracle VM locally or remotely.
A local installation takes place on the target machine where the application is being installed. It requires a media set on CDs or DVDs.
A remote installation uses the Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) JavaRConsole program. It uses the local machine to remotely install the application on the target machine. It allows you to install from a media set on CDs or DVDs, or from equivalent ISO images.
To set up a remote installation, see How to Connect to the System Console Remotely Using the ILOM Web Interface in Sun Fire X2270 M2 Server Installation Guide.
For information about connecting a system console, see Connecting to the System Console in Sun Fire X2270 M2 Server Installation Guide.
