Classifying Variables

A variable used in a loop is classified as being either a "private", "shared", "reduction", or "readonly" variable. The variable will belong to only one of these classifications. A variable can only be classified as a reduction or readonly variable via an explicit pragma. See #pragma MP taskloop reduction and #pragma MP taskloop readonly.
