1.1 What's New in Oracle BI Applications Release 7.9.6.3

Oracle Business Intelligence Applications release 7.9.6.3 includes the following new features:

Certification With Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g (11.1.1.5.0)

Oracle Business Intelligence Applications release 7.9.6.3 is certified with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition release 11g (11.1.1.5.0). If you are using an earlier version of Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, you must upgrade to release 11.1.1.5.0 in order to use Oracle BI Applications release 7.9.6.3.

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition release 11g (11.1.1.5.0) includes significant enhancements, including a change in security strategy, and many behavioral changes and enhancements to dashboards and reports. You should familiarize yourself with the changes by reviewing the "New Features" sections in the guides in the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) documentation set. In addition, for a summary of the changes in behavior and appearance, see the section titled "Appendix B: Possible Changes in Oracle BI Enterprise Edition Appearance and Behavior After Upgrade," in Oracle Fusion Middleware Upgrade Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence 11g Release 1 (11.1.1).

Improved Support for Teradata

Improved upgrade support for customers whose Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse is on a Teradata database and Informatica Repository on either an Oracle or SQL Server database.

Improved support for Oracle EBS

Improved support for Oracle EBS customers upgrading the Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse because of transactional database upgrades from version 11i to R12.x.

Support for Informatica Version 9.0.1 Hotfix 2

Oracle BI Applications requires installation of Informatica version 9.0.1 Hotfix 2.
