Installing VMware ESX 4.1

The installation of VMware ESX 4.1 includes the following tasks.

Booting options described in this document include local DVD boot using the system console or remote DVD or ISO image file boot using ILOM console redirection. VMware supports other booting options, such as PXE (see the VMware documentation for details).


Note - The Sun Server X2-8 was formerly named the Sun Fire X4800 M2 server. This former name might still appear in the product. The name change does not indicate any change in system features or functionality.
