Servicing the Hard Drive Backplane

The hard drive backplane is a mechanical interconnect for hard drives to the motherboard. The hard drive backplane is located vertically between the power distribution board and the hard drives. See Power Supply, Hard Drive, and Rear Fan Module Locations.
