The figure dcif_process.gif shows the graphic layout process workflow, which consists of all the subprocesses involved in creating a graphic layout, and arrows to define their relative order in the workflow. The subprocesses are all shown in ovals, and the workflow generally points from top to bottom. Start by enabling studies, then define questions and define DVG display formats. Then define DCMs, and the workflow branches between two choices: in the first branch, you define DCIs after defining DCMs, then proceed to generating DCI graphic layouts. In the second branch, after defining DCMs you generate DCM graphic layouts and edit them before generating DCI graphic layouts. There are two independent precursors to generating DCI graphic layouts: editing form layout templates, and defining page sizes. After generating the DCI graphic layout, you edit them. After that, there are three choices: in the first option, you can generate DCI forms, run DCI PDF and generate PDRs; in the second option, you can run data entry and generate PDRs; and in the third option, you can generate blank CRFs.
