You can change the defaults for Series 7 PowerPlay reports. You can select one of the following default actions when a report is run:
run the report in PDF format (default)
open the report with PowerPlay Web Explorer
For HTML format reports, you can choose to open the report in design mode (without data). Opening a report in design mode is useful to quickly view the structure of the report.
For PDF format reports, you can choose to be prompted for values that filter the range of data included in a report. For example, you can specify a date range that is a subset of the dates available in the report. If the Series 7 PowerPlay report was created with prompt values, you are prompted to enter values when the report runs.
In Reporting Center, click the set properties button on the actions toolbar to the right of the report you want to run.
Click the PowerPlay report tab.
Under Default action, select the default action for when the report is run.
For HTML reports, if you want to open the report without data, design mode, select the Open in design mode check box.
Note: You can also click the open with PowerPlay Web Explorer in design mode button if it appears in the actions toolbar.
For PDF reports, if you want to be prompted for values, select the Prompt for values check box.
Note: The Prompt for values check box appears only if prompt values are created for the report. You can also click More next to the report you want and then click the run the report in PDF format and prompt for values button.
