rotate-log

Syntax

tadm rotate-log common_options --config=config_name (node_host)*

Description

Use this command to rotate the log files. The server saves the old log files and marks the saved files with a name that includes the date and time when they were saved.

Note:

You can set up the log files to be automatically archived. At a certain time, or after a specified interval, the server rotates the logs. Use create-event command to generate new log files for the events that are created.

Options

For information about common_options, run the help command.

--config|-c

Specify the configuration for which you want to rotate logs.

Operands

node-host

Specify the host names of one or more nodes for which you want to rotate the log files.

Example

tadm rotate-log --user=admin --password-file=./admin.passwd 
--host=admin.example.com --port=8989 --no-prompt --config=www.example.org 

serverhost

Exit Codes

The following exit values are returned:

0: command executed successfully

>0: error in executing the command
