Getting Server Firmware and Software

Language:

S11.2:intel_iommu0: DEBUG: generated a fault event when translating DMA write (20194099)

dmesg shows "intel_iommu0: DEBUG: generated a fault event when translating DMA write" in Solaris 11.2 when Flash Accelerator F40 cards are installed.

Workaround:

Disable the Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d) setting in the system BIOS settings. This setting can be disabled in the BIOS Setup Utility IO > I/O Virtualization menu.
