To enable the Oracle System Assistant USB storage device in an online state (available to the operating system), use the Configure OSA setting in the server BIOS Setup Utility Boot menu.
You can also use the Configure OSA setting in BIOS to disable the USB storage device in an offline state, so that it is unavailable to the server operating system. This protects the device from accidental erasure and overwrite. When the device is offline, it is not bootable, and the tools, drivers, and files that reside on the Oracle System Assistant device are inaccessible. You can also disable Oracle System Assistant from the application's task screens.
To enable Oracle System Assistant from BIOS, follow these steps.
