The Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 patch list provides a list of patches pre-applied to the Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 release. Patches released after the Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 release can be found on the My Oracle Support
The patches that are listed in this chapter have been applied to the Oracle Solaris 10 Operating System in one of the following ways:
SolStart
These patches are located in the /var/sadm/patch directory on an installed system.
Freshbits technology
These patches were applied when the Oracle Solaris 10 OS was created. Therefore, these patches are not located in the /var/sadm/patch directory.
The showrev -p command provides a list of all patches that were applied to the installed system, regardless of how they were applied. The Oracle Solaris 10 software includes a known and tested level of patches. However, patches cannot be backed out of the Oracle Solaris 10 release.
