This figure shows the Oracle CEP server lifecycle. The initial event is to start the server, startup core engine bundles, startup Oracle CEP bundles, register MBeans, and startup application bundles. This leads to the initial state: STARTING. After all application bundles are deployed, the Oracle CEP server transitions to the RUNNING state. When you shutdown the server, after all application bundles are shutdown, the Oracle CEP server transitions to the SHUTTING_DOWN state. Then MBeans are unregistered, Oracle CEP bundles shutdown, and core engine bundles shutdown.
