7 Editing Columnar Reports

This chapter describes the modifications you can make to columnar reports in Oracle Business Activity Monitoring (Oracle BAM) Active Studio, including how to add images, and how to format text and change text alignment.

This chapter includes the following topics:

Additional information about Columnar Reports is available in Section 3.3, "Creating Columnar Reports."

7.1 About Columnar Reports

Columnar reports have different characteristics than tiled reports. A tiled report contains one or more views of data on a single page. A columnar report creates a multiple-paged, continuous formatted report. When you select the Columnar Report template, the Columnar view is also automatically selected. You can also select a tiled report template and the Columnar view although multiple pages are not provided for printing.

The data and properties formatting options in the Columnar Report are identical to those in the Columnar view available in tiled reports. See Section 4.3, "Creating and Using the Columnar View" for information about using the View Editor with the Columnar view.

Note:

Columnar reports and views support active data updates only, and only under the following conditions: the updates do not change the grouping of a record, and the report does not span multiple pages or frames.

7.2 Using Formatting Toolbars
