Map EIS users to WebLogic users

To create an inbound principal mapping that maps an EIS user to a WebLogic user:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane, select Deployments.
  3. On the Summary of Deployments page, locate your resource adapter and click its name to open the Settings page for the resource adapter.
  4. On the Settings page for the resource adapter, expand Security > Inbound Principal Mappings and click Security Context Mapping Required.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the Inbound Caller Principal Mappings table, click New.

The Create a New Inbound Caller Principal Mapping page is displayed.

  7. Specify the EIS user:
    • If a mapping for the default EIS user has not already been created, you can either select Default EIS User Mapping, or provide the EIS user name in EIS User.
    • If a mapping for the default EIS user has already been created, you may only supply the EIS user name in EIS User. (The option to select Default EIS User Mapping is not available.)
  8. Specify the WebLogic user:
    • Select Anonymous WebLogic User to map the EIS user to anonymous.
    • Enter a specific WebLogic user name in WebLogic User.
  9. Click Finish.

Result

The inbound EIS user mapping is created and appears by its EIS user name in the Inbound Caller Principal Mappings table of the Inbound Principal Mappings tab. Inbound principal mappings cannot be modified. If you want to change an inbound principal mapping, select the mapping in the Inbound Principal Mappings page, click Delete, and create a new one.
