6 Oracle Adaptive Access Manager Cluster

This chapter describes the Oracle Adaptive Access Manager Cluster metrics. An OAAM cluster is a group of servers working together with OAAM services to provide support for failover, load balancing, and scalability.

6.1 Oracle Adaptive Access Manager Datastore Information

This category of metrics provides information on the statuses of all the OAAM server instances in the OAAM cluster.

6.1.1 JDBC URL

This metric provides information about the database connections of the OAAM server instances in the OAAM cluster.

The following table shows how often the metric's value is collected.

6.2 Login Metrics Summary

This category of metrics represents the aggregate number of logins to the OAAM servers in the cluster on which OAAM is running.

6.2.1 Blocked Logins Rate (%)

This metric represents the aggregate percentage of login requests to the OAAM servers in the OAAM cluster that were blocked.

The following table shows how often the metric's value is collected and compared against the default thresholds. The 'Consecutive Number of Occurrences Preceding Notification' column indicates the consecutive number of times the comparison against thresholds should hold TRUE before an alert is generated.

This metric represents the aggregate number of login requests to the OAAM servers in the OAAM cluster that were blocked by OAAM during the last five minute interval.

This metric represents the aggregate percentage of login requests to the OAAM servers in the OAAM cluster that were presented with challenge questions.

This metric represents the aggregate number of login requests to the OAAM servers in the OAAM cluster that were presented with challenge questions as a second factor authentication.

6.2.5 Failed Logins Rate (%)

This metric represents the aggregate percentage of login requests to the OAAM servers in the OAAM cluster that have failed.

The rest of the information in this section is only valid for this metric when it appears in either the Enterprise Manager Cloud Control or the Enterprise Manager Database Control (if applicable).The following table shows how often the metric's value is collected and compared against the default thresholds. The 'Consecutive Number of Occurrences Preceding Notification' column indicates the consecutive number of times the comparison against thresholds should hold TRUE before an alert is generated.

This metric represents the aggregate number of login requests to the OAAM servers in the OAAM cluster that were successful in the last 5-minute interval. Most login requests are successful in normal scenarios. Very low rates of successful login requests when compared with total login requests imply suspicious activity.
