This encompasses usage by the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne installation programs, deployment server and development client. Storing any other data in the database requires a full use license of the Oracle Database. A license to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne products includes a restricted use license to Oracle Secure Enterprise Search solely for use with licensed JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications. Oracle Java SE is included with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne products and is intended only for use in conjunction with running JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications. If you use Java SE Suite in any other way or if you use a different version of Java SE than that provided with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne products, your use of Java SE is subject to the terms set forth at A license to certain JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications includes JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Archives as part of the application features. Oracle Service Registry is an optional component for Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Packs and/or Process Integration Packs. You can install and use AIA products without Oracle Service Registry. However, if a customer wants to use Oracle Service Registry to manage only AIA objects and services at runtime, a restricted-use license of Oracle Service Registry is included.
The restricted-use license of Oracle Service Registry allows customers to view/edit objects and services included with AIA products. If a customer wants to use Oracle Service Registry to manage other content than standard out-of-the-box AIA content, the purchase of a full-use license of Oracle Service Registry is required.
Restricted-use license of Oracle Service Registry for AIA is limited to the following:
1. Viewing and consuming Oracle AIA content (Oracle intellectual property) available with their licensed AIA Foundation Pack and/or Process Integration Packs. The pre-built AIA content includes: Services/Binding Templates (WSDL), Schemas (XSD) and Transforms (XSLT/XQUERY);
2. Making limited modifications and extensions to the AIA content only in accordance with the AIA extension mechanism, and not for other purposes:
i. Adding custom attributes to the AIA schemas
ii. Adding corresponding transforms for the custom attributes
iii. Modifying out-of-the-box AIA services taxonomy/categorization
iv. Modifying out-of-the-box AIA endpoint binding templates
v. Adding new taxonomies or models to categorize (1) the out-of-the-box and (2) the extended Oracle AIA contentAny of the following conditions would trigger the full-use license of Oracle Service Registry with AIA:
i. Adding custom business services
ii. Adding new operation to an existing service
iii. Registering your own in-house services
iv. Adding new taxonomies or models to categorize customer specific content (from 1, 2, 3 above)
v. Modifying attributes and other metadata in Oracle Service Registry other than through the AIA extension mechanism
All Application Integration Architecture (AIA) pre-built integrations include restricted-use licenses of supporting Oracle Technology products/components that can be used to configure, modify and extend the integration packs to meet customer's business requirements within the context of the delivered business process and Application(s).
However, full-use licenses of the necessary Oracle Technology products would be required if a customer wishes to do either the following:
1) Add another application system (a "new spoke") to the AIA pre-built integration (i.e. a new application beyond the original applications the AIA program provided integration for); or
2) Use additional Enterprise Business Objects (EBO) from the Foundation Pack Library.
1) In cases where an additional application system is added to the Application Integration Architecture pre-built integration, but no additional Enterprise Business Objects used from the Foundation Pack Library, full-use licenses of the following Oracle Technology products are required:
i. WebLogic Suite (for use of Internet Application Server Enterprise Edition)
ii. SOA Suite for Oracle Middleware
iii. Data Integrator Enterprise Edition (when used in the pre-built integration)
iv. Oracle Database Enterprise EditionExample: A customer buys the "Order-to-Cash" Process Integration Pack between Siebel CRM and Oracle E-Business Suite and now wants to add another system such as the customer's own "web order portal" to support the same business process. This would be considered another application system and would require full-use licenses of the Oracle Technology products noted directly above. Another application system could also be another application instance, custom built, legacy or a third-party application system.
2) In cases where an additional Enterprise Business Object from the Foundation Pack Library is used, full-use licenses of the following Oracle Technology products and AIA product are required:
i. WebLogic Suite (for used of the Internet Application Server Enterprise Edition)
ii. SOA Suite for Oracle Middleware
iii. Data Integrator Enterprise Edition (when used in the pre-built integration)
iv. Oracle Database Enterprise Edition
Example: A customer buys the "Order-to-Cash" Process Integration Pack between Siebel CRM and Oracle E-Business Suite and now wants to extend the integration to include a new business object, such as "Asset" or integration flow, such as "Payment Terms." v. Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack
Example: A customer buys the "Order-to-Cash" Process Integration Pack between Siebel CRM and Oracle E-Business Suite and now wants to extend the integration to include a new business object, such as "Asset" or integration flow, such as "Payment Terms." This would require full-use licenses of the Oracle Technology products noted directly above.
The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne programs associated with the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Developing and Customizing Mobile Enterprise Applications Guide include one or more mobile application archives or libraries (each a "Mobile Archive") based on Oracle Mobile Application Framework Foundation. Your use of each Mobile Archive is limited to the following:
Insert your brand or logo where indicated (removing Oracle's brands and logos, if any) in the Mobile Archive;
Modify the Mobile Archive as permitted by the "Oracle Mobile Application Framework Foundation" section below;
Compile, complete, and sign the Mobile Archive with your own mobile operating system-specific certificate(s), thereby creating a mobile application ("Mobile Application"); and
Distribute the Mobile Application within your enterprise or entity to your internal users and/or to your third party end users ("End Users") that use the associated JD Edwards program. You may not distribute the Mobile Archive to End Users.
With respect to creating a Mobile Application, you acknowledge that you must separately agree to and abide by license terms with the applicable mobile operating system provider and possibly other third parties. For example, for iOS applications, you agree that the Mobile Application, in whole or in part, may not be installed on a mobile device or executed except as incorporated into an iOS application that has been signed using an appropriate Apple-issued certificate that you obtained directly from Apple and that is deployed in full compliance with your agreement with Oracle (including these terms) and license terms set forth in a separate agreement between you and Apple.
Any Mobile Application distribution to End Users must be subject to a legally binding end user license agreement (the "EULA") between you and each End User pertaining to the Mobile Application that must, at a minimum, contain the following terms:
(a) Include acknowledgements by you and the End User that the EULA is concluded between you and the End User only and that the following apply:
(i) you are solely responsible for each Mobile Application's content, maintenance, and support; and
(ii) you are solely responsible for addressing, settling, and discharging any claims of the End User or any third party relating to the Mobile Application or the End User's possession and/or use of that Mobile Application, including, but not limited to product liability claims; any claim that the Mobile Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; any claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation; and any claims that the End User's possession and use of that Mobile Application infringes a third party's intellectual property rights;
(b) Provide only a non-transferable, terminable license to the End User that prohibits (i) modifying or creating derivative works or (ii) decrypting, decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling or attempting to derive the Mobile Application source code (unless such actions are expressly permitted by applicable law);
(c) Notify the End User that the Mobile Application is subject to a restricted license and can be used only in conjunction with the specific Oracle-based solution(s) for which it is designed;
(d) Provide no limitation of your liability to the End User beyond what is permitted by applicable law;
(e) Require the End User to comply fully with all relevant export laws and regulations of the U.S. and other applicable export and import laws to assure that the Mobile Application, nor any direct products thereof, is exported, directly or indirectly, in violation of applicable laws;
(f) State in the EULA your name and address to which any End User questions, complaints or claims with respect to the Mobile Application can be directed;
(g) State in the EULA that the End User must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the Mobile Application and that third-party components that may be appropriate or necessary for use with the Mobile Application are specified in the documentation for that program (or as otherwise notified by you) and that those third party components are licensed to the End User only for use with the Mobile Application under the terms of the third party license agreement specified in the documentation for that program (or as otherwise notified by you) and not under the terms of the EULA;
(h) State that the licenses provided in the EULA automatically terminate upon breach of the EULA terms and in addition that the licenses provided in the EULA may be terminated upon notice;
(i) State that upon termination of the EULA the End User must discontinue all use of the Mobile Application and to delete all copies of the Mobile Application;
(j) Disclaim in the EULA, to the extent permitted by applicable law, a third party's liability for (a) any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential, and (b) any loss of profits, revenue, data or data use, arising from use of the Mobile Application;
(k) Designate Oracle as a third party beneficiary. Oracle will have the right to enforce the EULA against the End Users; and
(l) State that your licensors retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in the Mobile Application.
You agree to inform Oracle promptly if you are aware of any breach of the EULA. You agree to be financially responsible to Oracle for all damages or losses caused by your failure to include the required contractual terms set forth above in each EULA between you and an End User.
Oracle Mobile Application Framework Foundation
Oracle Mobile Application Framework Foundation ("MAF Foundation") is included as a restricted use component. The following tables describe the applicable MAF Foundation usage rights and restrictions. Table 1 below lists the MAF Foundation capabilities that may be used and what, if any, restrictions apply. Table 2 lists the MAF Foundation capabilities that may be not used. Any use of the capabilities described in Table 2 requires an appropriate quantity of full use licenses for (a) Oracle Mobile Application Framework, or (b) Oracle Mobile Suite and Oracle Mobile Suite Client Runtime.
MAF Foundation is the version of Oracle Mobile Application Framework that is restricted for use as described in this document. When MAF Foundation is included as a component within another Oracle product (the "Primary Product") then, depending on the particular Primary Product, MAF Foundation may be included in the Primary Product, may be separately downloaded from Oracle Software Delivery Cloud, or may be downloaded as an extension to Oracle JDeveloper. JDeveloper is a prerequisite to using MAF Foundation and must be downloaded from Oracle Technology Network ("OTN"); see http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/downloads/index.html. Notwithstanding any other terms, use of JDeveloper is subject to the OTN license agreement associated with JDeveloper; view the license agreement at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/licenses/jdev-license-152012.html.
Definitions
"Application Archive" refers to the MAF Foundation mobile application archive, which is an Oracle proprietary mobile application deployment format that can only be used with Oracle supported development tools. It is not related to or based on any non-Oracle application archive format, including iOS application archives.
"Application Executable" refers to a mobile application executable installation file, such as an apk or ipa file.
"Application Workspace" refers to a series of files making up the source code of a mobile application developed using MAF Foundation.
"Data Control" refers to MAF Foundation mobile application artifacts that provides standard metadata interfaces to business services (such as web services) accessed by the mobile application.
"Feature" refers to specific MAF Foundation mobile application artifacts that are the building blocks of a mobile application, where each Feature integrated into the mobile application performs a specific set of tasks.
