To the right are applications 1, 2, and 3, each of which authenticates to the directory by way of Oracle9iAS Single Sign-On. The latter connects to the directory by way of a secure channel. On the other side of the OID Password Store, a database, three applications, and the directory administrator authenticate directly to the OID Password Store.
