D.83. tarantella role remove_member

Removes occupants from particular roles.

Syntax

tarantella role remove_member { --role rolename
                                --member mobj...
                              } | --file file

Description

The following table shows the available options for this command.

Option

Description

--role

Specifies the name of a role, for example global. Use Section D.79, “tarantella role list” to find out the available roles.

--member

Specifies the names of objects for the users you do not want to occupy the role.

--file

Specifies a file containing a batch of commands to remove occupants from a particular role.

Note

Make sure you quote any object names containing spaces, for example, "o=Example".

Examples

The following example removes Sid Cerise from the Global Administrators role.

$ tarantella role remove_member \
--role global \
--member "o=Example/ou=Finance/cn=Sid Cerise"
