3.5. Secure Connections to Application Servers

By default, SGD uses SSH to provide secure connections between SGD servers and UNIX or Linux system application servers.

By default, Windows applications servers use enhanced network security, such as Network Level Authentication (NLA) or Transport Layer Security (TLA). If enhanced network security is not configured or supported on the application server, Windows applications use the Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP) protocol. This means that all communication is encrypted, and connections to Microsoft Windows application servers are secure. See Section 4.2.3, “Windows Applications”.
