What's New in This Guide for 11g Release 1 (11.1.4)

For 11g Release 1 (11.1.4), this guide has been updated in several ways. The following table lists the sections that have been added or changed.

What's New in This Guide for 11g Release 1 (11.1.4)

For Release 11.1.4, this guide has been updated in several ways. The following table lists the sections that have been added or changed.

Chapter 3 Customizing Existing Pages

 

Section 3.2, "Editing a Page in Page Composer"

Section revised to remove the note in Task: Customize a Tasklist Menu that stated that task lists can be customized only at the site level.

Section 3.4, "Editing the UI Shell Template Used by All Pages"

Section revised to add the description of the new Customize Global Page template option in the Administration menu. Section revised to account for the fact that Composer can now be used to edit the UI Shell template for non-CRM applications (as well as CRM applications). Section revised to indicate that you use the skin editor to change the logo. Modified the following tasks to improve usability: Task: Add a Component to the UI Shell Template, Task: Edit a Component in the UI Shell Template, Task: Delete a Component from the UI Shell Template.

Chapter 5 Using Flexfields for Custom Attributes

 

Section 5.3.1, "Planning Descriptive Flexfields"

Section added to explain how to plan attribute mapping to Oracle Business Intelligence logical objects.

Section 5.3.2, "Planning Extensible Flexfields"

Section added to explain how to create actions that enable you to specify view and edit privileges for a context's attributes.

Section 5.5.1, "Configuring Descriptive Flexfields"

Section modified to explain how to create segment labels and how to assign segments to segment labels to help automate the importation of business-enabled flexfields into Oracle Business Intelligence.

Section 5.5.2, "Configuring Extensible Flexfields"

Section modified to explain how to specify view and access privileges for a context's attributes.

Section 5.8, "Integrating Custom Attributes"

Section modified to explain how to business-intelligence enable descriptive flexfield segments, how to map attributes to Oracle Business Intelligence logical objects, and how the mapping affects the way in which a descriptive flexfield is flattened for Oracle Business Intelligence.
