|Oracle Fusion Middleware Data Visualization Tools Tag Reference for Oracle ADF Faces
11g Release 1 (184.108.40.206.0)
UIComponent class: oracle.adf.view.faces.bi.component.timeline.UITimelineSeries
Component type: oracle.dss.adf.timeline.TimelineSeries
Naming container: Yes. When referring to children of this component ("partialTriggers",
findComponent(), etc.), you must prefix the child's ID with this component's ID and a colon (':')
The TimelineSeries component is a direct child of the Timeline component. A Timeline can have at most two TimelineSeries. Each TimelineSeries displays a list of events along the start and end time specified in the Timeline. The TimelineSeries component must be placed inside of a Timeline component.
The TimelineSeries component can have the following children: <af:dragSource>, <af:dropTarget>, <af:clientListener>, <dvt:timelineItem>,
The TimelineSeries component uses a model to access data from the underlying source. The specific model class to use is
org.apache.myfaces.model.CollectionModel. You may also use other model instances, e.g., java.util.List, array, and javax.faces.model.DataModel. The TimelineSeries will automatically convert the instance into a CollectionModel.
The TimelineSeries component can act as a drag source or drop target against other ADF collection components such as Table. Please see the documentation for
Any dimension related CSS styles have not effect in the TimelineSeries. The size of the TimelineSeries is determined by the size of the Timeline and the number of TimelineSeries are associated with a Timeline.
summary attribute:The summary property must be specified. The summary should describe the purpose of the component.
Apply Request Values
|Event delivered to describe an attribute change. Attribute change events are not delivered for any programmatic change to a property. They are only delivered when a renderer changes a property without the application's specific request. An example of an attribute change events might include the width of a column that supported client-side resizing.|
|bodyContextMenu||popup component containing the context menu that will be shown on right click within the timeline body, but outside of any timeline item. The af:popup must contain an af:menu to display the context menu. Note that the bodyContextMenu facet does not currently support a popup with the childCreation attribute set to deferred. As with JSP pages, when using Facelets, multiple components are not allowed in this facet.|
|contextMenu||popup component containing the context menu will be shown on right click of any timeline item. t to use to specify additional controls to appear in the context menu that is shown on right click of any header and data cells. The af:popup must contain an af:menu to display the context menu. Note that the bodyContextMenu facet does not currently support a popup with the childCreation attribute set to deferred. As with JSP pages, when using Facelets, multiple components are not allowed in this facet.|
|attributeChangeListener||javax.el.MethodExpression||Only EL||a method reference to an attribute change listener. Attribute change events are not delivered for any programmatic change to a property. They are only delivered when a renderer changes a property without the application's specific request. An example of an attribute change events might include the width of a column that supported client-side resizing.|
|binding||String||Only EL||an EL reference that will store the component instance on a bean. This can be used to give programmatic access to a component from a backing bean, or to move creation of the component to a backing bean.|
|contentDelivery||String||Yes||Valid Values: lazy, immediate, whenAvailable
Options are "lazy", "immediate", and "whenAvailble". If "lazy", then the content of the timeline series is fetched after the timeline series is sent to the browser. If "immediate", then the content of the timeline series is immediately sent to the browser. If "whenAvailable", then "immediate" content delivery is used if the data is already available; otherwise "lazy" content delivery is used. The default value is "whenAvailable".
|emptyText||String||Yes||The text of an empty timeline series. If the text is enclosed in an html tag, it will be formatted. The formatting behavior is similar to outputFormatted component.|
|first||int||Yes||the index of the first row in the currently range of rows. This index is zero-based. This attribute is used to control which range of rows to display to the user.|
|id||String||Yes||the identifier for the component|
|inlineStyle||String||Yes||the CSS styles to use for this component. This is intended for basic style changes. The inlineStyle is a set of CSS styles that are applied to the root DOM element of the component. Be aware that because of browser CSS precedence rules, CSS rendered on a DOM element takes precedence over external stylesheets like the skin file. Therefore skins will not be able to override what you set on this attribute. If the inlineStyle's CSS properties do not affect the DOM element you want affected, then you will have to create a skin and use the skinning keys which are meant to target particular DOM elements, like ::label or ::icon-style.|
|partialTriggers||String||Yes||the IDs of the components that should trigger a partial update. This component will listen on the trigger components. If one of the trigger components receives an event that will cause it to update in some way, this component will request to be updated too. Identifiers are relative to the source component, and must account for NamingContainers. If your component is already inside of a naming container, you can use a single colon to start the search from the root, or multiple colons to move up through the NamingContainers - "::" will search from the parent naming container, ":::" will search from the grandparent naming container, etc.|
|rendered||boolean||Yes||specifies whether the component is rendered. The default value is true.|
|rows||int||Yes||the maximum number of rows to display in a single range of rows. Some ranges might have fewer than the number of rows specified by this attribute (eg: the last range might have an insufficient number of rows). To display all rows at once, set this attribute to 0. The default is 25.|
|selectedRowKeys||org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.model.RowKeySet||Yes||the selection state for this component.|
|selectionListener||javax.el.MethodExpression||Only EL||a method reference to a selection listener.|
|styleClass||String||Yes||a CSS style class to use for this component. The style class can be defined in your page or in a skinning CSS file, for example, or you can use one of our public style classes, like 'AFInstructionText'.|
|value||Object||Yes||<description>the data model being used by this component. The specific model class is <code>org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.model.CollectionModel</code>. You may also use other model instances, e.g., <code>java.util.List</code> , array, and <code>javax.faces.model.DataModel</code>. This component will automatically convert the instance into a <code>CollectionModel</code>.|
|var||String||Yes||Name of the EL variable used to reference row data within timeline item stamps. Once this component has completed rendering, this variable is removed (or reverted back to its previous value).|
|varStatus||String||Yes||Name of the EL variable used to reference the varStatus information. Once this component has completed rendering, this variable is removed (or reverted back to its previous value). The varStatus provides contextual information about the state of the component to EL expressions.|
|visible||boolean||Yes||the visibility of the component. If it is "false", the component will be hidden on the client. Unlike "rendered", this does not affect the lifecycle on the server - the component may have its bindings executed, etc. - and the visibility of the component can be toggled on and off on the client, or toggled with PPR. When "rendered" is false, the component will not in any way be rendered, and cannot be made visible on the client. The default value is true.|
