Configure SAF error handling resources

A SAF error handling resource specifies the action to be taken when the SAF service fails to forward messages to a remote destination.

To configure an error handling resource:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the Administration Console, navigate to the SAF error handling resource that you want to configure:
  3. On Configuration tab, update as necessary:
    1. Policy -- Specify a logging policy.
    2. Logging Format -- Specify the log format when Policy is set to Log.
    3. Error Destination -- Specify an error destination when Policy is set to Redirect.

For more information about these fields, see Configuration Options.

  4. Save your changes:
  5. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
