Welcome to the Installation and Upgrade Guide for Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack. This guide describes the Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack installation and upgrade processes.
This document is intended for users installing Oracle AIA Foundation Pack 11g Release 1 (188.8.131.52). It is also intended for users upgrading from Foundation Pack 11g Release 1 (184.108.40.206.0/220.127.116.11.x) to Foundation Pack 11g Release 1 (18.104.22.168).
Follow the steps mentioned while installing Oracle AIA for a faster and smoother installation.
Perform the required pre-installation checks discussed in Required Verifications Before Starting AIA 11g Foundation Pack Installation, available in article ID 1298426.1 on My Oracle Support:

Fulfill the hardware requirements discussed in Section 1.3, "Hardware Requirements."
Fulfill the software requirements discussed in Section 1.2, "Software Requirements."
Collect the information discussed in Section 2.1, "Collecting Field Value Information for Installation and Deployment of Foundation Pack."
Fulfill pre-installation configurations discussed in Section 2.2, "Performing Pre-Installation Configurations."
Install Foundation Pack using instructions provided in Chapter 3, "Installing and Deploying Using AIA Foundation Pack Installer" or Chapter 4, "Installing and Deploying using Manual Steps."
Perform post-installation tasks discussed in Chapter 5, "Post-Installation Configurations."
Verify the installation using instructions provided in Chapter 6, "Verifying the Installation."
Install Reference Process Models using instructions provided in Chapter 8, "Installing Reference Process Models."
