1 Introduction to Installing WebGates

A WebGate is a web-server plug-in for Oracle Access Manager (OAM) that intercepts HTTP requests and forwards them to the Access Server for authentication and authorization.

For information about the typical workflow in an environment with a WebGate and OAM, see "About SSO Log In Processing with OAM Agents" in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Access Manager with Oracle Security Token Service.
