1 Introduction to Installing WebGates

A WebGate is a web-server plug-in for Oracle Access Manager (OAM) that intercepts HTTP requests and forwards them to the Access Server for authentication and authorization.

Installing a WebGate for Oracle Access Manager involves the following steps:

  1. Installing the web server

  2. Installing a WebGate for Oracle Access Manager

  3. Completing the post-installation configuration steps

  4. Verifying the WebGate installation and configuration

  5. Registering the new WebGate agent
