Manage Dispatch Types

 

Dispatch types and related data for the destination locations of a replication process are defined in the EER Dispatch Type form. Multiple target locations can be selected for each dispatch type.

To open the form select Manager > Tools > Replication > Data Exchange (EER) > Dispatch types.

 

 

Define the name of the dispatch type at the top of the form. You may also enter additional information in the Comment field.
Selecting a record for replication with Edit > Replication opens a selection window. This window contains a list of available dispatch types, whose checkbox is currently checked.
   
  The Data replication target sites list contains all currently defined target sites of the data replication process:
 

Structure name
  Click the button in the Structure name field while in Insert mode to open the n*tree definitions list.
 
  The list also contains structure names which are relevant for the Data Exchange module (EER).
   
 

Version
 

The Version number is transferred and entered automatically. Several dispatch types can be defined. However, only one of those dispatch types can be active at any given time.

  When in insert mode, click the button in the ? field to open the Target definition list. Select the target site from this list. The following fields are available in this list:
 
  • Site: Click the button in the Site field to open the Replication Sites list. Select one of the available sites.
  • Type: In the selection menu, select EER for Data Exchange (EER).
  • User ID: Enter the user identification number of the recipient.
  • Group ID: Enter the group identification number of the recipient.
  • Access: The access level is restricted to read access. The following options can be selected:
    • c: owner
    • cc: owner + group
    • ccc: owner + group + world
  • S-media: transfer media type. All media types are defined with the Manager > Tools > Replication > Data Exchange (EER) > Media option in the EER Media mask.
  • CAX Media: Transfer media type for CAX files
  • Confirmation file: Find active/inactive receipt files
  • R Media: Media type for the receipt file
  • Comment: Additional information
  • Global Replication Time: Start time of replication process
 

Site
  Site code of the replication target site.
   
 

Type
  Type of Data Exchange Process. In case of a Data Exchange module (EER) process, select the value EER from the selection menu.
   
 

User ID:
  The identification number of the user name for the replication process.
   
 

Group ID:
  The identification number of the user group name for the replication process.
   
 

Access
  The access level is restricted to read access. The following options can be selected:
  • c: owner
  • cc: owner + group
  • ccc: owner + group + world
