What's New in This Guide

The following topics introduce the new and changed features of Oracle Fusion Applications and provide pointers to additional information.

New and Changed Features for 11g Release 5 (11.1.5)

Oracle Fusion Applications 11g Release 5, includes the following new and changed patching and upgrade features for this document:

• Applying multiple patches, which allows you to apply multiple patches using a My Oracle Support patch plan. See Section 3.1.5.

• RUP Installer configuration tasks, additional tasks were automated. See Section 5.1.3.

• Preparation steps performed before down time for RUP installation, several manual steps were updated, automated or removed. See Section 5.2.1 and Section 5.2.2.

• Post upgrade tasks, several manual steps were automated or removed. See Section 5.2.3.

• RUP Installer can be run in silent mode. See Section 5.5.2.

• Language Pack configuration tasks, additional tasks were automated. See Section 6.1.4.

• Language Pack Installer can be run in silent mode. See Section 6.5.2.

• Preparation and post-installation steps for Language Pack installation, several manual steps were automated or removed. See Section 6.2.

• The Diagnostics report now contains links to the line number in the logs file for each task. See Section 11.2.2.
