This figure shows a two-node Oracle Universal Content Management (UCM) cluster.

In this figure, requests from the Internet are handled by a load balancer in the web tier, which routes each request to either WEBHOST1 or WEBHOST2 in the web tier. Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is installed on WEBHOST1 and WEBHOST2.

WCCHOST1 and WCCHOST2 are the application tier hosts. The Oracle WebLogic Administration Server is installed on WCCHOST1 and WCCHOST2. An Oracle UCM cluster (named Cluster_UCM) is set up on WCCHOST1 and WCCHOST2, with managed server WLS_UCM1 running on WCCHOST1 and managed server WLS_ UCM2 running on WCCHOST2.

In the data tier, the UCM configuration for the WLS_UCM1 and WLS_UCM2 managed servers is stored on a shared disk. An Oracle RAC database in the data tier is the highly available UCM repository.
