After completing this topic, you will be able to link a new module.
Steps:
Double-click the WordPad Training module to open it in the Outline Editor.
Step 1Link a new module to the root of the outline.
Click the Link menu.
Step 3Click the New Module command.
Step 4Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter "Applying Formatting".
Step 5Notice that the initial save location is the same folder as the parent document.
Step 6Use the Browse button for the Location field to save it to the /WP/Applying Formatting folder.
Note: You can also type the path into the Location field.
Click the Browse button.
Step 7Double-click to expand the WP folder.
Step 8Click the Applying Formatting folder to select it.
Step 9Click the OK button.
Step 10Save the new module with the rest of the defaults.
Click the OK button.
Step 11The new module is linked (and automatically saved) beneath the parent document.
Notice that the icon for the parent document, the WordPad Training module, has changed from a purple page to a purple book now that a child document links to it.
Step 12Link another new module to the root of the outline.
Click the WordPad Training module.
Step 13You can also link a new module using the toolbar.
Click the Link New Module button.
Step 15Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter "Document Basics".
Step 16Use the Browse button for the Location field to save it to the /WP/Document Basics folder.
Click the Browse button.
Step 17Double-click to expand the WP folder.
Step 18Click the Document Basics folder to select it.
Step 19Click the OK button.
Step 20Save the new module with the rest of the defaults.
Click the OK button.
