Zoom the Audio Timeline


After completing this topic, you will be able to zoom the timeline in the waveform.


Steps:

  1. You need to re-record a sentence in the audio recording. The sentence falls within the selected sound, but you need to magnify the zoom level to make a more precise selection for re-recording.

    Step 1
  2. Zoom the selection to the waveform.

     

    Click the Zoom button.

  3. The selection magnifies to fit the waveform.

     

    Use the timeline bar under the waveform to reduce the zoom level. Extend the timeline from the left side.

     

    Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the desired location.

  4. Release the mouse button.

  5. Use the zoom slider bar under the waveform to reduce the zoom level. Extend the timeline from the right side.

     

    Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the desired location.

  6. Release the mouse button.

  7. Once you zoom the timeline, you can use the zoom slider to view areas that do not appear in the waveform. Drag the zoom bar to the right to view the sound to the right of the selection.

     

    Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the desired location.

  9. Clear the selection.

     

    Click the Deselect all button.

  10. To view all recorded sound for the web page in the timeline, first, select all sound.

     

    Click the Select all button.

  11. Then, zoom the timeline to the selection.

     

    Click the Zoom button.

  12. The timeline zoom adjusts to display all recorded sound.

  13. Clear the selection.

     

    Click the Deselect all button.
