Format Tables


After completing this topic, you will be able to format tables in a document template.


Steps:

  1. By default, attachments appear in a table with border lines and shading. You are viewing the attachment bookmark for Leadin (Start) frames.

  2. We want to display frame attachments without border lines and shading.

     

    Click inside the table you want to modify.

  3. Display the Borders and Shading dialog box.

     

    On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the button to the right of the Borders field.

  4. Click the Borders and Shading command.

  5. The setting in the Borders tab is already set to None. Display the Shading options.

     

    Click the Shading tab.

  6. Click the Fill list.

  7. Click the No Color option to remove the shading from the table.

  8. Click the OK button to close the Borders and Shading dialog box.

  9. Notice that the attachment tables appears without border lines and shading.

  10. You also want to eliminate the attachment icon from the table. We have selected the bookmark for the attachment icon.

  11. Delete the attachment icon bookmark.

     

    Press [Delete].

  12. The attachment icon bookmark no longer appears in the table.

  13. Attachment tables also appear for frame links below the Table of Action Steps. For a consistent appearance, you should check the formatting for all attachment tables.

  14. We have removed the border lines, shading, and icon bookmark from all of the frame link attachment tables.

  15. We have scrolled to the Table of Action Steps. We are going to remove the table border lines, but leave the shading.

  16. The Table of Action Steps appears without the border lines.
