Set Preview/Publishing Options for Document Output

After completing this topic, you will be able to set Preview options.

Steps:

1. Notice that the topic concept links to a web page with an image.

   Step 1

2. Preview a System Process Document for the topic.

    

   Click the Go button.

   Step 2

3. System Process documents include attachments. We have scrolled to the Concept to view the web page with the included image.

   Step 3

4. We have scrolled to the Procedure table. Notice the keyboard alternative actions for steps 1 and 2.

   Step 4

5. Close Microsoft Word.

    

   Click the Close button.

   Step 5

6. Change the preview/publishing options for the System Process Document.

   Step 6

7. We have opened the Options dialog box and selected the System Process category.

   Step 7

8. Deselect the option to include alternatives in the System Process Document.

    

   Click the Include alternatives option to deselect it.

   Step 8

9. You also want to exclude images from packages and images in web pages from the System Process Document.

   Step 9

10. We have deselected the two options for you.

    Step 10

11. Close the Options dialog box.

     

    Click the OK button.

12. Preview the selected topic for a System Process Document.

     

    Click the Go button.

    Step 12

13. The System Process Document opens in Microsoft Word.

     

    Notice that the image no longer appears in the concept.

14. We have scrolled the System Process document to the beginning of the procedure table.

     

    Notice that the keyboard alternatives are not included.

15. Close Microsoft Word and the document.

     

    Click the Close button.
