After completing this topic, you will be able to set glossary term properties.
Steps:
Select the Definition Link field for the "file" term.
Click in the "file" Definition Link field.
Step 1Click the Browse button.
Step 3You can link an existing web page or package file from the Library or link a URL as the definition for a glossary term.
You can also create and link a new web page. In this example, we will create a new web page.
Step 4Create a new web page named file in the Attachments folder.
Click the Create new web page button.
Step 6By default, the Glossary Editor assigns the term name as the document name for a new web page definition; however, you can change the name.
We will leave file as the name for the new web page.
Step 7To save time we have browsed to the Content/Attachments folder for you.
Step 8Save the new web page.
Click the Save button.
Step 9At this point, you would create the web page with the desired information.
We have typed the text for you.
Step 10Close and save the web page.
Click the Close button.
Step 11Click the Yes button.
Step 12Add a tooltip to the selected glossary term.
Click in the "file" Tooltip field.
Step 13Enter the desired information into the Tooltip field. Enter "definition".
Step 14Press [Enter].
Step 15We have linked the "document" term to the Document2 web page and the "memo" term to the Memo.png file in the Graphics2 package and added the appropriate tooltips for the glossary terms.
Step 16Allow the glossary to mark other forms of the term "memo", such as memos.
Click the Match Whole Word checkbox in the memo row to remove the option.
Step 17Save the changes made to the glossary document using the toolbar button.
Click the Save button.
