After completing this topic, you will be able to publish content to a document output.
Steps:
The Opening a Document and Saving a Document as a New File topics are selected.
Step 1Publish the selected topics using the toolbar button.
Click the Publish button.
Step 2Publish the selected content to the same publishing destination and replace the old content.
Click the Next > button.
Step 3Click the Publish selection only option.
Step 4Click the Next > button.
Step 5Click the Next > button to publish local content.
Step 6Replace the old content.
Click the Continue button.
Step 7Choose the Training Guide as the only publishing format.
Click the Player and LMS check box to deselect it.
Step 8Click the Training Guide check box.
Step 9The Publishing Wizard uses the Training Guide settings from the Options dialog box as the default for publishing.
However, for the published output, we want to exclude alternatives and publish only one screenshot per topic.
Step 10Click the Include alternatives option to deselect it.
Step 11Change the publishing option to include only one screenshot per topic.
Click the Include screenshots list.
Step 12Click the One screenshot per topic list item.
Step 13Click the Publish button.
Step 14Finish the publishing wizard and open the publishing folder.
Click the Finish button.
Step 15Double-click the WordPad Training_TRAIN.docx file to open the Training Guide.
Step 16Scroll down to view the document.
Press [Page Down].
Step 17Notice the Table of Contents. Continue scrolling the document pages.
Press [Page Down].
Step 18Continue scrolling the document pages.
Press [Page Down].
Step 19Notice the Glossary at the end of the Training Guide.
The glossary includes the web page links for the terms "document" and "file" and the package image for the term "memo".
Step 20Close Microsoft Word and the document.
Click the Close button.
Step 21Close the publishing folder window.
Click the Close button.
