Oracle ATG Web Commerce Search supports integration with a type-ahead feature that attempts to auto-complete user-entered text on your Web site. This appendix is concerned with how to set up type-ahead in Search Administration; in addition, you must configure your JSP pages to support this feature before your customers can use it (see the ATG Search Query Guide for information).

Dedicate a server for answering type-ahead requests, to reduce load on the search engines. Otherwise, you may see performance degradation. If type-ahead performance is slow, you may need to add hardware resources to the search project.
