Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter 12c R1 (12.1.1) introduces the following features:

Transaction Context Propagation Started from Oracle Tuxedo

XA transaction context can be propagated from Oracle Tuxedo applications to JEE applications.

Integration with JDeveloper SOA Extension

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter is integrated with the Oracle JDeveloper SOA Extension for enhanced user experience. This feature allows user applications to access Oracle Tuxedo services through SOA components without needing to write any code.

Conversational APIs

JEE applications can access Oracle Tuxedo ATMI conversational services.

New Data Type Support

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter Installation Prerequisites

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter is contained in a single resource archive file (com.oracle.tuxedo.TuxedoAdapter.rar), which can be downloaded from the Oracle product download Web site: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/index.html.

Installation requires the following prerequisites:

Access to JDK 1.5 or later
5 MB free disk space
A text editor or XML editor
Requires unrestricted strength jurisdiction policy file if encryption is required

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter Platform Support

The following application servers are certified for use with Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter:

WebLogic Server version 11gR1 and 12c
IBM WebSphere 8.0, 7.0
JDeveloper SOA 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) (for JCA and Jdev Integration)

Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter is expected to run on all OS platforms supported by these application servers.
