Understanding Enterprise Manager for Oracle Tuxedo
Enterprise Manager for Oracle Tuxedo extends Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to add support for monitoring and managing Oracle Tuxedo instances. The complexity of Oracle Tuxedo and the applications running on top of it makes performance measurement extremely complex. By deploying the Enterprise Manager for Oracle Tuxedo within the Cloud Control environment, it becomes easier.
Enterprise Manager for Oracle Tuxedo provides comprehensive monitoring and reporting for Oracle Tuxedo system and applications. It enables collection of various application performance metrics (including transactions, services, system servers, and so on).
The Enterprise Manager for Oracle Tuxedo provides a Web-based graphical user interface that integrates with the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control console for central management. It allows you to view real time, as well as, historic performance metrics collected from middleware targets. This enables you to monitor Oracle Tuxedo system availability and performance both in real time and from a historical perspective for trend analysis and diagnosing availability and performance problems.

Enhanced Tuxedo tlisten process
Works as a proxy and agent between Tuxedo and Enterprise Manager agent. A JMX agent is embedded and every target instance inside the associated Tuxedo domain corresponds to an MBean instance in the JMX domain. JMX agent receives metrics and job requests from Enterprise Manager agent and forwards them to the corresponding Tuxedo target instances.
Ensures that the MBean instances embedded in the connected JMX agent tlisten is consistent with the Tuxedo domain it is running on.
Must be started for Oracle Tuxedo Event collection and Oracle ART Batch System Server. The Enterprise Manager for Oracle Tuxedo on Enterprise Manager agent receives the event trap from tux_snmpd after the receive port is configured.
