Outline Editor - Link an Existing Package File


After completing this topic, you will be able to link a package file as a concept in the Outline Editor.


Steps:

  1. The Document Creation.html file was created by publishing a PowerPoint presentation as a web page. The html file and the Document Creation_file folder that holds the images linked to the presentation are stored in a package.

     

    Linking the html file instead of the native pptx file allows the user to view the slides in the Concept pane rather than launching PowerPoint.

     

    You will link the html file to the Document Basics module.

    Step 1
  2. Select the document to which you want to link a package file.

     

    Click the Document Basics module.

  3. Click the Create link button in the Concept pane.

  4. Browse to the Library location where the package file is located. The file is in the

    Content/Attachments folder.

     

    Double-click the Content folder.

  5. Double-click the Attachments folder.

  6. Open the package in which the document is located.

     

    Double-click the Customer Files package.

  7. Select the document you want to link as a concept.

     

    Click the Document Creation.html file.

  8. Click the OK button.

  9. The first slide in the slide show appears in the Concept pane.

  10. The slides contain hyperlinked arrow images to advance to the next slide.

     

    Click the Right Arrow button to view the next slide.
