Link a Document Using Copy and Paste


After completing this topic, you will be able to link a document from the Library using copy and paste.


Steps:

  1. Display the Library.

     

    Click the Library tab.

  2. Copy the Using Print Preview topic from the Library.

     

    Click the Using Print Preview topic.

  3. Use the toolbar buttons to copy and paste a link to the selected Library document.

     

    Tip: You can also use the Edit menu or the right-click context menu to copy and paste documents.

     

    Click the Copy button to copy the selected document.

  4. Display the outline.

     

    Click the WordPad Training tab.

    Step 4
  5. Select the location in the outline where you want to paste a link to the copied topic. Link the topic below the Opening a Document topic.

     

    Click the Opening a Document topic.

  6. Click the Paste button.

  7. Pasting a copied document to a topic positions the document below the topic in the outline and links the document to the topic's parent.
