Move a Document in the Library


After completing this topic, you will be able to move a document in the Library.


Steps:

  1. Click the Document Basics folder.

  2. Select the documents you want to move.

     

    Click the Opening a Document topic.

  3. Use the toolbar button to cut the selected document.

     

    Click the Cut button.

  4. Select the WP folder as the destination for the cut document.

     

    Click the WP folder.

  5. Use the toolbar button to paste the cut documents.

     

    Click the Paste button.

  6. Click the WordPad Training tab to view the outline.

  7. Moving the document in the Library did not affect its location in the outline.

     

    At any time, you can modify your folder hierarchy and move documents. The Library location of a document does not affect its position in an outline.

  8. Click the Library tab to view the folders.

  9. Use drag-and-drop to move the Opening a Document topic back to the Document Basics folder.

     

    Press the left mouse button on the Opening a Document topic and drag the topic to the Document Basics folder.
