The information in the Questions Associated table varies with the selected assessment and the document selected in the Outline pane. The table is filtered to show only those questions and topics (Know It? questions) in the assessment associated with the selected document. In other words, how many questions have you assigned to test competency for this specific document. For example, if you select a topic for which you have created and associated two questions, those two questions appear in the table. If you also add the topic itself as a Know It? question to the assessment, the filtered list will show three items, the two questions and the topic. Selecting a parent document, such as a module or section, displays a table of all the questions and topics associated with the parent document plus all child documents.

The filtered table includes the following columns:

  • Name: Name of the question.

  • Type: Indicates if the assessment item is a Question or Topic (Know It? question).

  • Associated Content: Lists the name of the document associated with the question as set in the Associated Content property. In the case of a Know It? question, the topic itself is listed, as the Know It? question tests the topic and is associated with itself.

  • Path: Library path to the assessment item.

Questions in the assessment that do not have their Associated Content property set (not linked to any content), are NOT included in the filtered table. The questions in the table do not appear in the same order as in the assessment. To compare the full assessment and see the order in which the questions will appear, you can open the selected assessment using the Open Assessment button in the view.

Note: A question can have only one document associated with it (for example, only one document can be set as the Associated Content property). However, a single document (module, section, or topic) can be associated with multiple questions. To quickly associate a document with several questions, select the questions in the Library and use the Properties toolpane to assign the same document as the Associated Content property for all of the selected questions. See Associated Content Property under Question Properties in the View Document Properties chapter for information about setting the Associated Content property for a question.
