Hide Bubbles using Frame Settings


After completing this topic, you will be able to hide bubbles using frame settings.


Steps:

  1. Click the second F frame in the primary path.

  2. Hide the bubble for this frame.

     

    Click the Display bubble in See It! and Try It! modes for this frame option.

  3. Notice the message in the bubble.

  4. The action area will still appear in playback for this frame because we did not choose to disable this option.

  5. Save the topic.

     

    Click the Save button.

  6. Close the topic.

     

    Click the Close button on the Opening a Document tab.

  7. We have opened the Properties toolpane for you.

     

    Hiding and showing the bubble for a frame depends on the Show Bubbles property setting for the topic.

     

    Notice that the Show Bubbles property is set to the default, Use frame settings, which means that topic playback will use your settings for each frame.

  8. Preview the topic in Try It! mode.

     

    Click the Go button.

  9. Start the preview.

     

    Click the start link.

  10. The bubble and action area appear for the first frame.

     

    Click the Open button.

  11. In the second frame, the bubble is hidden. However, since we did not hide the action area also, the frame still shows where the action is performed.

  12. Press the Escape key to end the topic playback.

     

    Press [Escape].
