Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is an integrated, end-to-end provisioning and delivery service designed for the efficient management and control of virtualized desktops. Oracle VDI virtual desktops are meant to be hosted in a secure data center.

Based largely on the integration of Sun Ray Software with other key software products, including the Oracle VM VirtualBox hypervisor and MySQL database, Oracle VDI is designed to provide access to hosted virtual desktops from a wide range of devices. It also enables customers to use hypervisor products from other vendors, such as VMware vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V.

This document discusses the security aspects of an Oracle VDI implementation.
