traceroute Command Modifications for IPv6 Support

You can use the traceroute command to trace both the IPv4 and IPv6 routes to a specific host. From a protocol perspective, the traceroute command uses the same algorithm as the ping command. Use the –A command-line option to override this behavior. Also, you can trace each individual route to every address of a multihomed host by using the –a command-line option.
