How to Use the zoneadm Command to Rename a Zone

Use the zoneadm command with the rename subcommand to rename a zone.

1. Become an administrator.

   For more information, see Using Your Assigned Administrative Rights in Securing Users and Processes in Oracle Solaris 11.2 .

2. Change the name of the zone.

   zoneadm -z old_name rename new_name
