New Default Self-Signed SSL Certificate and Security Checks (as of 3.2.8.x)

As of Oracle ILOM firmware 3.2 8.x, a unique self-signed default SSL certificate and fingerprint are provided by Oracle ILOM. When the newer version of the default SSL certificate is in use, Oracle ILOM performs additional certificate checks to validate the SSL certificate.

Impact to Customer Configuration

When updating earlier Oracle ILOM firmware versions to 3.2.8 or later, users connecting to Oracle ILOM through the web interface will need to accept a newer version of the default SSL self-signed certificate that is provided by Oracle ILOM.

Resolving SSL Warning Messages

If the Java client is not properly configured to validate the uploaded SSL certificate (default-Oracle-provided or customer-provided SSL certificate), Oracle ILOM remote KVMS console users might experience a warning message.
