Oracle Endeca Information Discovery Studio 3.0.0 Rev. B

KNOWN ISSUES (3.0.0)

LSTUDIO-7187	Studio now supports the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese-European. This is a subset of the languages supported by Endeca Server.
If the currently selected locale for Studio is different from the language for a language-specific search, then the search might not work correctly, even if the data has been ingested correctly and tagged with the correct language.
This may be a particular issue for data in languages that are supported by the Endeca Server but not by Studio.

LSTUDIO-7078	If you change the data source associated with an application, then if:
- A Record Details component is bound to a view other than the Base view, and
- The new data source does not have a view with the same name,
then you must delete and then re-add the Record Details component.

LSTUDIO-7103	If you delete a view that is currently being used by a Results Table or a Pivot Table component, then you cannot edit those components.  You must either delete those components, or temporarily recreate a view with the same name so that you can update the components to use a different view.

LSTUDIO-7055	If an attribute value contains newline characters, then it cannot be used for refinement. To be able to refine by the attribute, remove the newline characters before you ingest the data.

LSTUDIO-7032	If an attribute is a member of more than one attribute group, then you may not be able to configure it to be expanded by default on the Guided Navigation component.  If the attribute needs to be expanded by default for Guided Navigation, make sure that it is only a member of a single group.

LSTUDIO-6944	On component edit views, the Data Selection list for a child data source may not immediately reflect new views created for a parent data source. To get the new views to display, either restart the user session, or go to the View Manager and then select the child data source.

LSTUDIO-6926	Studio doesn't properly handle attribute values that include JavaScript <script> tags.  You can either escape the script tags or remove them before ingest.

LSTUDIO-7092	If you use the Control Panel Applications page to only remove a user's role within an application (using the Assign User Role option for the application), it does not remove the user's access to the application. To entirely remove a user's access to an application:
1. On the Control Panel, go to the Applications page.
2. In the application Actions menu, select Assign Members.
3. On the Current tab, uncheck the user(s) you want to remove from the application.
4. Click the Update Associations button.


KNOWN DOCUMENTATION ISSUES (3.0.0)

An updated version of the 3.0 Studio documentation set has been released.

In this updated release of the Studio documentation:

- The Studio Security Guide has been added.
- The Studio Installation Guide has been updated to revise and enhance the information for installing Studio and the Provisioning Service on WebLogic Server.
- The Getting Started Guide has been updated to include the full installation process for all of the associated modules.

		
FIXED IN THIS RELEASE (3.0.0)

LSTUDIO-5383	On the Chart component, when an attribute used on the chart has been disabled for the associated view, the edit view now displays correctly.

LSTUDIO-5467	On the Chart component, users can now control whether to automatically scale values displayed in tooltips (for example, display 12,345 as 12.3k).

LSTUDIO-6089	On the Pivot Table component, when all of the dimensions are displayed as rows, the table header now displays correctly.

LSTUDIO-5793	When configuring conditional formatting for a Pivot Table, users can now provide decimal values with up to 17 decimal places.

LSTUDIO-5504	When users refine the data using a Tag Cloud value, they now remain on the current location on the page, instead of being moved back to the top of the page. 

LSTUDIO-5110	The Pivot Table component now applies the conditional formatting rules using the correct priority.

LSTUDIO-4358	The Results List component now exports the correct amount of data - all of the records up to the maximum as configured in the maximum export framework settings.

LSTUDIO-4020	On the Map component, the top attribute for the location details no longer displays as a hyperlink if there is no action associated with that value.

LSTUDIO-3681	The Pivot Table component now displays the correct warning messge when the total number of cells is greater than the maximum that can be displayed.

LSTUDIO-3177	On the Pivot Table component, users can now resize the row headers to display the full header text.

LSTUDIO-3542	When users edit a bookmark on the Bookmarks component, the component now remains on the same page in the Bookmarks list and maintains the current sort order.

LSTUDIO-5566	Shared bookmarks now respect the Bookmarks component setting to only display bookmarks for the current page.

LSTUDIO-5762    On the Control Panel, under Server Administration, the Portal Properties page no longer displays the password for the default administrative user.

LSTUDIO-5000    On the View Manager, when users provide an invalid view name containing a '-' character, the correct error message is displayed.

LSTUDIO-5471	In all URLs configured for components, spaces are now encoded as plus signs.

LSTUDIO-2308	The Breadcrumbs component now displays the correct tooltip when users hover over the option to remove a single refinement value from an attribute with multiple values selected.

LSTUDIO-5076    On the Data Explorer component, the tooltip for the attribute key now correctly displays the attribute display name.

LSTUDIO-3660    The Breadcrumbs component now correctly displays negative refinement values.

LSTUDIO-2656    On the Breadcrumbs component, users can now remove middle dimensions from a set of hierarchical dimension values.

LSTUDIO-5107    The Breadcrumbs component now correctly handles negative refinements for hierarchical dimension values.

LSTUDIO-1526    The Guided Navigation component no longer allows users to select the same managed attribute value as both a positive and negative refinement.

LSTUDIO-4688    On the Breadcrumbs component, when users remove an entire hierarchy of values, the values are now removed correctly, including the top parent value.

LSTUDIO-3580    On the Data Explorer component, when users change the group by option, they now stay on the same page of the Data Explorer results, and are not returned to the top of the list.

LSTUDIO-1698	For each component, the option for removing the component has been relabeled Remove instead of Close.

LSTUDIO-5409	On the Chart component, users can now refine by values that contain double quotes.

LSTUDIO-6068	Studio now correctly interprets the syntax to suppress the encoding of URL parameters in hyperlinks.

LSTUDIO-5978	On the Metrics Bar component, the tooltip now displays correctly when the data value contains a quote character.

LSTUDIO-5693	On the View Manager, to prevent users from hiding all of the columns for the Predefined Metrics list, users can no longer hide the display name column.

LSTUDIO-5003	The Compare component now displays the selected records correctly when users remove refinements that were in place when they first selected the records to compare.

LSTUDIO-5002	On the Data Source Bindings page, users can now change the selected data source for Chart components.

LSTUDIO-4986	On the Compare component, when users remove a record after changing the initial record display order, the correct record is now removed.

LSTUDIO-4833	For the Results Table component, when users select the Print option, the printout now includes all of the records on the current page.

LSTUDIO-5559    User sessions now correctly expire when the session times out, even for users who selected the 'Remember Me' option when they logged in.

LSTUDIO-3708	The Compare component has been updated to correctly handle the use of the Back button.

LSTUDIO-5173	The Metrics Bar component no longer behaves unexpectedly on Internet Explorer when users click the disabled version of the Load Metrics button.

LSTUDIO-6191	In this release, deleting a user requires two steps to remove the user from the database. To delete a user, first go to the Users page on the Control Panel. Deactivate the user you wish to delete. Next, click the 'Advanced' link under the search box. Select Active -> No from the dropdown, then click the search button. The list is updated to only show inactive users. Delete the user you wish to remove from the database. The user should now be successfully removed.

LSTUDIO-6315	In this release, the "impersonate user" functionality in Liferay does not work. You cannot use this feature to impersonate other users and preview their experience in the portal. To see how the portal will appear to a different user, please log in as that user. 

LSTUDIO-4970	The Results Table component has been enhanced to better handle end user drag-and-drop operations.

LSTUDIO-2412	The Results Table component now allows aggregated tables to be grouped by date-time dimension values.

LSTUDIO-4985	The Results Table component now properly implements the configured default sort order.

LSTUDIO-4693	The Record details component now works fine when rendering the "more" text in tooltip.

LSTUDIO-3276	The Compare component now displays correctly when one or more of the values for an identifying attribute for a record includes special characters.

LSTUDIO-5004	The Compare component now displays the correct data when users select a bookmark created when the Compare component was displaying selected records.

LSTUDIO-2816	In deep link URLs, to prevent script injection, inserted HTML is now escaped.

LSTUDIO-4949	For the Record Details component, the Actions menu now correctly displays the icons for the Export and Print options.

LSTUDIO-4934 	The Map component no longer displays unexpected error messages when users change the sort.

LSTUDIO-4924	The Record Details component no longer responds to a Details action from a Results Table component that is bound to a different data source.

LSTUDIO-4847	When users select a bookmark, the Map component now restores the correct sort order.

LSTUDIO-4994	When users try to save a data source with an invalid filter configuration, they no longer see a session expired error.
