You can delete a style that you no longer need from a style sheet. When you delete a style, all instances in web pages using the deleted style are now identified as "Unknown style <style name>". If the deleted style is a default style for an element, the Web Page Editor applies the browser defaults for that element. If the deleted style is not a default style for an element, the Web Page Editor applies the default style for that element if one exists, and the browser defaults for that element if no default style exists.

If you delete a default style, the attributes of the non-default styles that are inherited from the default style are reset to the browser settings.

When deleting a style, all print and language variations of the style are also deleted.

Note: You can use Undo to restore a deleted style if the style sheet is still open in the Style Editor.
