The Frame Comments toolpane contains three multi-line text fields for entering comments about the frame: 

• Author Notes - Enter comments about the frame in this field. Comments added to a frame when recording content also appear in this field. These notes appear in the Test Results publishing style.
   
• Instructor Notes - Enter instructor note; for example, the steps necessary to get the expected result or additional information an instructor should provide to students in class. When you preview or publish an Instructor Manual, this text appears in italic text in the Action column in the Step/Action table, before the frame text.
   
• Expected Test Results - Enter the expected result of the action of this frame. These comments display after the bubble text during Test It! playback and also in the Test Results publishing style.

Note: When a topic opens within Record It! mode, the Frame Comments toolpane opens in the horizontal view with the Author Notes field expanded and the Expected Test Results and Instructor Notes fields collapsed below it. When a topic opens from the Topic Editor, the Frame Comments toolpane is displayed vertically on the right side.

To enter Author Notes, Expected Results or Instructor Notes for the current frame:

1. Display the Frame Comments toolpane, if necessary.
    
2. Select the field in which you want to enter text.
    
3. Enter the comment text.
