The Cell Properties dialog box allows you to configure the look of a table cell. It contains these options:
Width: Set the width of the cell in pixels or a percent value. Using pixels sets the cell width to a fixed value. Setting the width as a percent value lets you set the proportion of the row that the cell (and the column it is located in) occupies.
Height: Set the height of the cell in pixels.
Word Wrap: Set the wrapping of text within the cell. If this is set to Yes, text wraps to the next line when a new word is typed that won't fit in the cell. If this is set to No, if you enter text that is too big for the cell, the cell expands to accommodate the word.
Horizontal Alignment: Set the horizontal alignment of the content within the cell. Options are: Left, Center, Right, or not set.
Vertical Alignment: Set the vertical alignment of the content within the cell. Options are: Top, Middle, Bottom, Baseline, or not set.
Cell Type: Set the cell as a data or heading cell. Heading cells typically have additional formatting such as centered alignment and bold text.
Row Span: You can set a cell to span downward over multiple rows. Enter the number of rows the cell spans.
Column Span: You can set a cell to span to the right over multiple columns. Enter the number of columns the cell spans.
Background Color: Set the color of the cell background. You can enter either the RGB value (nn,nn,nn) or hexadecimal value (#nnnnnn). You can also click the Choose button and select a color from the Color dialog box.
Border Color: Set the color of the cell border. You can enter either the RGB value (nn,nn,nn) or hexadecimal value (#nnnnnn). You can also click the Choose button and select a color from the Color dialog box.
To set cell properties:
Right-click in a table cell.
On the context menu, point to Cell and select Cell Properties.
On the Cell Properties dialog box, make the appropriate cell property changes.
